Some Great Ideas for Milan and Paris during Fashion Week
Some great Accommodation Ideas for Milan and Paris during Fashion Week 2009.

With a fantastic selection of luxury city apartments right in the historic centres of Milan and Paris, The Villa Book offers an ideal alternative to hotel accommodation for fashion aficionados attending the Women’s Ready-to-Wear shows at the end of September.

The Milano Moda Donna, shows its Spring/Summer collections from 23rd - 30th September at the Fiera Milano Nuovo Polo, the new venue on the outskirts of Milan. The Villa Book’s five luxury apartments are situated at the very heart of the city, just steps from the metro station at S. Babilo, on the linea rossa, which will take you directly to the Fair at Rho (the last metro stop). Offering an ideal central location in Vittorio Emmanuele II, the apartments are just a few steps from the Piazza Duomo, close to the world-famous Teatro della Scala, and also an easy walk from the ultra-chic via Montenapoleone and via della Spiga. Not to be missed is the Quadrilatero designer shopping district enclosed between via Montenapoleone and via della Spiga and the trendy Corso Como area

Next stop Paris, where Paris Fashion Week takes place from 30th September until 8th October. The Villa Book’s wonderful selection of Paris apartments are situated, just a short walk from the Carrousel du Louvre, where the show takes place. Most are in the 3rd, 4th and 6th arrondissements, on the enchanting Ile St. Louis, the Marais or St Germain, right in the heart of historic Paris, some with panoramic views over the Seine. Full of character and rich in 18th century architecture, the Ile St Louis has retained a unique ‘village’ atmosphere with its small boutique-lined streets, art galleries, restaurants and poplar-shaded quays bordering the Seine. The closest metro stations are Pont Marie, St Paul Cité, or Châtelet, conveniently placed at the junction of several lines to whisk you through to your favourite shopping district. The selection of apartments in the 6th have prestigious addresses, such as rue Jacob, rue du Dragon, rue du Cherche Midi, or the Quai Malaquais, with views directly over the Seine to the Louvre on the other side. Particularly spacious, these apartments are full of period charm with elegant furnishings, exposed ceiling beams, parquet floors, silk curtains and antique furniture, the interiors of the apartments combine the charm of ‘le Grand Siècle’ with modern comforts. All are equipped with cable TV, telephone and stereo CD player, and most have fast internet access. Extra services can be arranged, including maid service, secretarial services, restaurant, theatre and opera reservations and also limousine transfers from the airport or train station on arrival and departure.

The Villa Book also has city apartments in the centres of:

Rome, Florence, Siena, Lucca, Venice, Nice, Barcelona and Bath.
