Gordon Place is a very pretty residential street; a haven of leafy seclusion, yet just metres away from the noise and bustle of Kensington High and Kensington Church Streets. Kensington High Street is just a two minute walk and can be reached by walking down a quaint, narrow pedestrian walkway with some fascinating, tiny shops. The High Street has department stores, Marks & Spencer plus a choice of every other imaginable shopping, cafés and restaurants. Kensington Church Street is more inclined to expensive patisseries, restaurants, interior design and antiques and is also just a two minute walk away. Walk to the top of Kensington Church Street, and you will reach Notting Hill Gate, and a little further on from here, Portobello Road with its famous market on Friday and Saturday each week. The side entrance to Kensington Gardens is only four minutes walk from the flat, leading into Hyde Park. There is an excellent bus service from Kensington High Street to Knightsbridge and the West End, while the Kensington High Street underground is on both the circle and district lines. Some noise can sometimes be heard from the nearby underground, but doesn’t normally bother guests. A short flight of steps from the street up to the front door of the main house leads into a large public entrance hall. The front door to the apartment is on the ground floor level so is described as "raised ground floor". On entering the apartment, the small hallway leads straight into a good sized, light living room with large windows looking out over the street. It is comfortably and most attractively furnished with deep sofa and armchairs, colour television, video and stereo. There is a dining table and six chairs. The kitchen is attractively tiled and well equipped. The pretty bedroom has a queen size bed and has a plentiful supply of waradrobes and shelves, and the modern tiled bathroom has a bathtub with overhead power shower. The whole flat is in immaculate decorative condition and is highly recommended. Non smoking apartment.
