These luxurious suites, are situated in a stunning 16th century Roman palazzo in Via del Governo Veccchio, the street of the old, or papal, government, just behind, behind the famous Piazza Navona. The street is renowned in Rome for everything from fine dining, trendy bars, exclusive boutiques and antique shops, to rich history and famous monuments. Other nearby attractions within a few minutes walk include the Campo dei Fiori and the Pantheon. It is also about 10 minutes’ walk to the Vatican and the Castel Sant’Angelo. The atmospheric Trastevere neighbourhood is approximately 20 minutes walk.
As you enter the vaulted hallway through the palazzo's massive oak doors, into an inner courtyard, originally the ancient stables, the noise from the bustling city vanishes, and time seems to roll back through the ages. The courtyard is now a shady, scented, secluded garden - your very own Roman retreat, a peaceful haven where you might sip a cappuccino in the morning as you plan your day, or a relaxing glass of wine in the evening.
There are four suites here which can be rented separately, or combined for larger groups. All have a fridge and breakfast facilities and one of the apartments Raffaello 1, has its own kitchen and dining area. Continental breakfast is included in the price, and can be taken either in the suite, or in the garden. Each suite has its own corner of the garden with table and chairs under a sheltered awning. Named after famous artists, Da Vinci 1 can sleep up to four people in two double beds, one king-sized and one queen-sized. Da Vinci 2 is slightly smaller, but can also sleep up to four guests in two double beds. The Raffaello 1 Suite has two double beds in a spacious living area, also with a full kitchen and dining table. The Raffaello 2 Suite has one double bed. All the suites have marble en-suite bathrooms with hairdryers, soft towels and complimentary toiletries. Further amenities include air conditioning/heating, direct-dial telephone, cable television and wi-fi internet connection.
