This very charming and unusual house is situated in the Luberon village of Cabrières d’Avignon, close to the church. The village has two restaurants, a butcher, a grocery and a bakery, which is renowned in the area, all within a 5 minute walk of the property. Cabrières is the most perfect location from which to explore the highlights of inland Provence, with many attractions being within a half hour drive. The Roman cities of Arles, Avignon, Nimes, St Remy and Vaison la Romain are also within easy striking distance. There are daily markets, including antiques, and a summer season of fetes and music/opera festivals all nearby.
The accommodation is in two houses, bordering a large and beautiful inner courtyard, with swimming pool (9 x 4m, with alarm system), a lawned area, flower beds and an ancient olive tree. There is also a furnished terrace, with outdoor dining area and fountain, shaded by an enormous plane tree.
The ground floor of the main house dates from the 16th century, the first floor from the 18th century and the annex dates from the 19th century. The whole property was modernised in 1990, but original features we retained, such as the vaulted or beamed ceilings, original tiled floors, archways, exposed stone walls and fireplaces. Modern amenities include satellite TV, CD/cassette stereo, a telephone/fax/copier. and internet access. All the bedrooms have twin beds and can be made up as doubles or twins. A baby cot and high chair available, but the owner would prefer no children, apart from babies, under the age of 12 years.

Entrance into sitting area, also with fridge and microwave, and stairs to 1st floor.
First Floor
2 bedrooms, overlooking the pool area, and sharing a shower room with WC. One of the bedrooms has double bed, but with two single mattresses, and the other has twin beds. The twin bedroom has a separate wash basin.
