This stunning and spacious apartment has a wonderful ambience, reminiscent of a beautiful Provençal farmhouse. It is situated on the third floor (with lift access) of a lovely old building in rue du Dragon, right at the heart of St Germain. Rue du Dragon runs between Boulevard St Germain and Place M. Debre, right by rue du Cherche Midi, rue de Sèvres and rue de Grenelle. The famous Poilâne bakery in rue du Cherche Midi is just a few steps away, and a few minutes further will bring you to the Bon Marché, widely regarded as the best department store in Paris.
The apartment is very stylish, yet full of character, with high ceilings and exposed ancient beams, and enormous double windows. The furniture is mainly antiques, with the addition of some custom-designed and hand-painted large mirrors. Painted throughout in a soft lichen colour, the contrasting colours are in chocolate, stone, polished steel and linen, with the addition of silk, soft, pale aqua curtains.
Another lovely feature of this apartment is the large eat-in kitchen with built-in painted Provençal style units. This opens to the spacious living and dining room with antique pine dining table, seating 8 and two large, comfortable sofas, which can be made up as beds, on request. The bedroom can be made up as a king-size double bed, or twin beds. Amenities include TV, DVD and high speed internet access. A minimum stay of five nights is allowed at this apartment.
