The exclusive 6th arrondissement is considered by many to be ‘the’ place to stay in Paris, and the rue du Cherche Midi is definitely one of its most desirable streets. A premier shopping street, with a wonderful selection of shoe shops in particular, as well as the famous Poilâne bakery, just a few buildings down from the apartment, and a choice of good restaurants, you will find everything you need within a short walk. In a few leisurely minutes you can wander down to the Seine, then to the Orsay Museum in one direction, or the Notre Dame Cathedral in the other. If you like to cook, there is a farmer's market, one block down on the Boulevard Raspail, providing fresh produce three times weekly (on Sundays the market sells organic produce only).
The apartment is situated in a late 18th century building with secure entrance with Interphone, and up one flight of stairs. The interiors are spacious (96m2) and can easily accommodate a family of four. A fifth person can sleep on a sofa in the large living room (although this is not a sofa-bed).
Period features have been retained, including the carved limestone mantle in the living room and the parquet flooring. Modern amenities include a well equipped open-plan kitchen, cable TV, telephone for local calls, broadband internet with wi-fi (and ethernet cable connection) and a hairdryer.
