Villa Palais is one of two magnificent Moorish villas situated right on the coast, close to St. Raphael, and approximately 40 minutes drive from both Cannes and St. Tropez. Designed and built in 1860, by the architect Chapoulard, it is one of the few listed properties on the Côte d’Azur available for rent. Together with neighbouring Villa Jardin, it is ideal as a holiday base for several families, a large group of friends, or as a venue for a celebration or other special event. The two properties share an electric security gate entrance and parking area.
Set in large and beautifully maintained gardens with palms and flowering vines, leading down to the sea, there is a heated swimming pool (12 x 5m), surrounded by a sun terrace, to the front of the villa. There is also a heated jacuzzi with sea views. Witihin the garden is a ping pong table, trampoline, boules petanque and pool toys for children. A marquee in the garden provides the perfect spot for dining outdoors while enjoying the sea views.In addition there is a outdoor seaview gym and use of boat house with kayaks and small motor boat, snorkelling equipment. Larger boats are available for rental. The beach is about 100 metres away by seafront walk.
Most rooms have a distinctive Moorish feel, many with high vaulted ceilings, arches and tiled or parquet floors. Furnished to a very high standard, there are some antiques, Moroccan lamps and fabulous antique brass 4-poster beds. The ten bedrooms, all individually designed, have either superb sea or garden views. Bathrooms have multi-jet showers and most of the bedrooms have air conditioning. All bedrooms have air conditioning, satellite television, DVD and CD player, safety box and tea and coffee facilities. One of the ground floor bedrooms has a wide door and is suitable for wheelchair access.

Double bedroom with queen-size 4-poster bed, a beautiful bathroom with shower, and a private terrace at the front with sea views (can take a single bed and baby bed). A 2-level suite: on the lower level there is a bedroom with double 4-poster bed and en-suite bathroom with shower, and on the upper level there is a single bed and en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower. This room can take a baby bed.
First Floor
Double/twin bedroom with sea view, and bathroom with multi-jet shower, and and large terrace with view of the swimming pool nad sea. 1 bedroom suite with double/twin bed, facing two Moorish windows with wonderful sea and garden views and private balcony (can take a single bed or baby bed). En-suite bathroom with jacuzzi and multi-jet shower. These two bedrooms can be interconnecting if required.
